Newborn recovered, kidnapper arrested in police operation

LAHORE (Dunya News) - A newborn kidnapped by the associate of his mother has been recovered with the arrest of the abductor, Dunya News reported here on Monday.

Quaid-e-Azan Industrial Police received an application that a man identified as Abdul Salam kidnapped a four-day-baby on the pretext of giving drugs to the mother of the child, who is stated to be a drug addict.

When the woman took her baby to the accused, he got the child in his lap, saying he wanted to show him to one of his friends. He vanished away with the child, leaving the woman distraught.

Police working on modern lines and pursuing an intelligence-based operation, recovered the child six hours after the abduction. The child has been handed over to the relatives of woman. Further investigation was underway.
