Two suspected outlaws killed in Lahore CCD 'encounters'

Their two accomplices were injured

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Two suspected robbers were killed and their two accomplices sustained injuries allegedly by the firing of their own accomplices during ‘encounters’ with CCD police in two separate incidents here on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.

In the first incident in Karol Pind, an under custody suspect was killed by his own accomplices during an exchange of fire. He was being taken to a village for the arrest of his accomplices when his accomplices opened fire on police van in order to get him released. Police retaliated as a result of which the under custody outlaw was killed from the firing of his own accomplices.

He was later identified as Subhan. He was wanted in several cases of heinous. Further investigation was under way.

In another ‘encounter’ in Matsti Gate, an alleged outlaw was killed and his two accomplices were injured. Police held barricade to arrest a proclaimed offender when three persons riding a bike appeared there. Police gave signal to stop them, but the bike riders opened fire.

Police retaliated, resulting in the death of a suspect and injuring his two accomplices. The injured suspect was identified as Shabir. Further investigation was underway.
