Imran Khan's sisters detained near Adiala Jail

Aleema and Noreen Khan held during protest demanding meeting with imprisoned PTI founder

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Police have detained Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan, sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan, near Adiala Jail during a protest demanding a meeting with their brother.

According to sources, both women were taken into custody at a police checkpoint near the prison, where they had been staging a sit-in alongside lawyer Salman Akram Raja and other PTI supporters. Several other PTI workers were also detained during the operation.

Rawalpindi police reportedly transported the detained individuals toward Chakri Interchange shortly after the arrest.

Aleema Khan had earlier stated that they had come to Adiala Jail specifically to meet Imran Khan and vowed not to leave until the meeting was allowed. “We were stopped just 2 kilometers from the prison,” she told reporters before her detention.

Their arrest has sparked concern among PTI supporters, adding fuel to ongoing tensions surrounding the treatment of political detainees and restrictions on family visits.
