ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that a neighbouring country has threatened to stop Pakistan’s water supply, but India cannot snatch even a single drop of Pakistan’s water.
He warned that if India attempts any such move again, Pakistan will respond decisively, leaving them regretful.
Addressing an event in Islamabad on the occasion of International Youth Day, PM Shehbaz declared that a new Pakistan has emerged after defeating its enemy.
He said Pakistan’s armed forces taught India a lesson it won’t forget, adding that on May 10, Pakistan’s brave soldiers crushed India’s arrogance by downing six Indian aircraft. He emphasized that under the Indus Waters Treaty, India cannot withhold Pakistan’s share of water.

The prime minister further stated that Pakistan’s future lies in the hands of its youth, and the government will ensure merit-based progress for the country’s development. He announced that one lakh laptops would be distributed to talented students on merit.
PM Shehbaz also extended Independence Day greetings to the nation, noting that Pakistan emerged on the world map on August 14, 1947, under the inspiring leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He highlighted the significant role played by minority communities in the Pakistan Movement, stating that their contributions to education, health, and defense need no introduction.
