WHY SENIOR FBR OFFICERS REMOVED FROM THEIR POSITIONS
Reasons behind removal of senior FBR officers from their positions have surfaced according to which the prime minister directed to remove the senior officials due to four reasons.
The officers failed to implement successfully the track and trace system, they could not get desired results from the scheme introduced for businessmen, no progress was made in cases under trial in courts. They, despite prime minister office and International Monetary Fund's directions, could not take steps to expand the tax network.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also directed action against the FBR officers by holding inquiries. The inquiry report against the removed officers will be sent to the Prime Minister's Office next month.
