Pakistan set 179-run target for Black Caps to win third T20I

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - The visiting New Zealand side, despite missing their big guns, defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the third T20I at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday night.

Earlier, the captain of the New Zealand cricket team won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.

Pakistan scored 178 runs and lost four wickets in the first innings in a show that was dominated by the likes of Babar Azam and Shadab Khan who scored 37 runs 41 runs, respectively.

Earlier, the Kiwis captain won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan captain Babar Azam made 37 runs while Shadab Khan scored 41 runs.

Speaking on the occasion, Babar Azam said, "Pitch looks much better from yesterday, looks like a typical Pindi pitch. We'd have batted first if he had won the toss. Sometimes I'm confused which bowler I should use in different situations but everyone is ready to bowl and it's good to have that many options. Amir is not playing, Abbas Afridi is in."
