Rawalpindi: firing on school van kills driver
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – According to reports, a firing incident took place on a school van killing the driver at Adiala Road. The driver of the school van was seriously injured in firing incident by unknown persons and was shot four times as information received through medical reports.
The injured driver was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital immediately but due to the intensity of wounds he couldn’t survive.
Police have told that according to the nature of incident it seems that the driver had personal enmity with the suspect.
However, to further confirm the case CCTV footage has been sought which will further clarify the suspicions.
IGP Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan while taking notice of the issue of firing incident on school van in Rawalpindi ordered RPO Rawalpindi to furnish report of the incident.
Furthermore, IG Punjab ordered to arrest the accused as soon as possible and take strict legal action against them.
After interrogation and full-fledged investigation the case will be further referred for criminal proceedings.
However, the culprits are still at large.
