Pakistan receives support for 334 development projects from outside during July-December
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan received assistance for 334 development projects from July to December of the current financial year from outside sources, with Asian Development Bank topping the list with 91 development projects.
Economic Affairs Division s 6-month report has been released. According to which, Pakistan received assistance in 334 projects from July to December. Asian Development Bank has been leading the list after providing funding for 91 projects while the World Bank provided funding for 62 projects.
The United States supported 22 projects in Pakistan and most of the funds were provided under the Kerry-Lugar Bill. Under Kerry-Lugar, 19 development projects are being supported in Pakistan. China is supporting 17 development projects.
According to the document, France is supporting Pakistan in 11 development projects while the United Kingdom is supporting 11 development projects. The United States has provided Rs7 billion for the expansion of Mangla Dam while Rs1.10 billion for the promotion of basic education in Sindh.
