KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Dairy Farm Association in Karachi on Wednesday has increased price of milk by Rs26, following which dairy farmers across the metropolis have been selling milk at the price of Rs120 per liter.

This is anticipated to heavily affect the general public in the new wave of inflation.

According to details, dairy farmers have decided to sell milk to middlemen at the price of Rs108 per liter.

Contrarily, the government has fixed the price of milk at Rs94 per liter.

Importantly, Sindh Minster for Agriculture, Supply and Prices Muhammad Ismail Rahu has taken a notice of the matter, and subsequently ordered all deputy commissioners and supply prices officers to launch a stern crackdown against dairy farmers for selling the milk at higher prices.

Dairy farmers claim that the prices have been increased following the recent hike in fuel prices, higher cow fodder cost and other expenses.
