Policeman among two killed in firing incident in Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two persons – including a police official – were killed in Karachi in a firing incident and one sustained injuries, Dunya News reported on Friday.
According to details, the shooting took place in Defence Phase 6 area. The police stated that two drunk suspects ran away leaving their vehicle behind after opening fire.
The authorities recovered four bullet shells and rounds of 9mm pistol from the incident spot. The officials have gathered evidences and stared investigation.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Pir Muhammad Shah told that one suspect has been arrested who was already a wanted criminal.
The martyred policeman has been identified as Khalid Mehmood who was posted at the Darakshan police station. The other victim was a passerby namely Ramzan.
The eyewitnesses reported that one attacker had weapon in his hands while the other was directing him. The police took a vehicle into custody as well.
