Three dead after falling into pit in Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Three persons died in Karachi after falling into a pit and one sustained injuries, Dunya News reported on Monday.
The incident took place at Amin Fish Company in Ibrahim Haideri area. The wounded man, Jaffar, is in critical condition and has been transferred to the Jinnah Hospital.
The dead bodies have been retrieved. The deceased have been identified as Iqbal-ud-Din, Darwaish and Zarb Ali.
Malir SSP Irfan Bahadur told the pit was dug in the company for preservation of fish. The company has been sealed and further investigations are being conducted, he said.
The owner has also been taken into custody by the officials. It has been reported that all the victims were labourers who slipped into the pit while working.
