SC orders action against dual national govt. employees to surrender foreign nationality

SC verdict has declared dual nationals employees at govt. institutions a threat to state of Pakistan
Lahore (Dunya News)- The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has ordered government to initiate action against in service government employees holding dual nationality.
The two-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar ordered the respective federal and provincial governments to set deadline for such employees to relinquish their foreign nationality and take action in case of non-compliance.
The SC has declared dual nationals working at government institutions as threat to state of Pakistan. The apex court has ordered a ban on foreign / dual nationals recruitments in public institutions.
Importantly, the apex court has told the Parliament to take quick decision regarding imposition of ban on appointments of dual-nationality holders.
It merits mentioning here that CJP Saqib Nisar is currently hearing key cases at SC Lahore registry with the above mentioned case among them.
