CJ chairs SJC session today

The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has ordered to submit record of complaints regarding misconduct against Sindh High Court Justice Muhammad Afzal Somroo. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary chaired the Supreme Judicial Council session in Islamabad today and heard the case of misconduct against Justice Muhammad Afzal Somroo, reported Dunya News. The council directed the registrar of Sindh High Court to submit original court record regarding case against Muhammad Afzal Somroo in its next session. The session was attended by the SC judges Javed Iqbal, Sardar Muhammad Raza, Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Tariq Pervaiz, Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Khawaja Sharif and SC Registrar Dr Faqir Hussain. The next session of the SJC will be held on October 3.
