UTTAR PRADESH (Dunya News) – A man threw a shoe at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident occurred when Rahul Gandhi was carrying out a rally in the central UP town.
Luckily, the shoe did not hit the Congress vice-president.
Police arrested the man after the incident and is interrogating him.
In the past, many leaders including former US president George Bush, Iranian President, Chinese Prime Minister have been targeted with a shoe by the public.
An Iraqi journalist Muntadhar al-Zaidi threw shoe at former US president George Bush, after which the act became common.
