The online video streaming site will still use unskippable 20-second, 6-second adverts

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The online video streaming website YouTube said in its official statement that it will stop supporting the unskippable ads which make viewers wait for 30 seconds when playing a video. The company aims at making shorter advertisements which are good both for viewers and advertisers.

The video service giant will stop airing the 30-second advertisements by the next year. However, it will be replaced by 20-second ad clips by which their customers will have to wait a little less for watching videos.

With a growing majority of people who like watching YouTube videos on their smartphones, this is a step worth-welcoming. It is one of the salient reasons why the Google-owned company has decided to shift towards shorter format video ads before videos.

The shorter advertisements – the 6-second bumper ads – are already popular in YouTube for android and iOS mobile phones and will be more frequently seen from now on.
