PTI leader argued Nawaz Sharif is targeting judiciary and state institutes after disqualification

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shafqat Mahmood claimed on Thursday that the political career of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party had ended after Supreme Court’s verdict to disqualify Nawaz Sharif in Panama case.

He said the top leadership of PML-N is targeting judiciary and state institutes in an act of retaliation, and claimed that they committing contempt of court by distributing pamphlets against judges. “PML-N will never allow Shehbaz Sharif to come forth,” he claimed. PTI spokesperson criticised the homecoming rally and declared it a political step against judiciary.

Talking about Tehmina Durrani’s tweets, he argued that there is an internal rift in PML-N and it appears as if Punjab CM is not being allowed to proceed as Nawaz’s successor. He stated that the ruling party only admits court’s rulings when in their favour. Shehbaz Sharif has refuted such claims by saying 20 million people have given proof of their love for ex-PM by the historic welcome during GT Road rally.

Also, he recommended that everyone should respect supremacy of law, adding that PTI knows how to defend itself from such tactics.
