(Web Desk) – As the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif began his journey back to the heart of Punjab, Lahore – where his ruling party the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz enjoys a strong political support, supporters of the party and the ousted premier made their way to join the rally.

The political rally is being seen as a show of political support for the former PM who had been ousted by the Supreme Court as a result of a court case following the Panama Papers scandal. PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi bid farewell to Sharif as he left the Punjab House on Wednesday to carry out his road journey to Lahore. Ministers and important party leaders were seen rallying along with their party’s former chief Nawaz Sharif as the rally managed to head towards Rawalpindi by Wednesday evening. The rally which will take 2 days more before it concludes in Lahore will pass through the GT road where Sharif is expected to deliver speeches and hold political gatherings at various major intersections before finally arriving in Lahore.
