PPP Chairman accused saying that state machinery was used to hijack local body elections in Punjab

LAHORE (Dunya News) – While discussing the local government elections in Punjab, Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Thursday that state machinery was used to hijack the elections in the largest province of country, reported Dunya News.

Chairman PPP commented that the government of Pakistan Muslim league (N) (PML-N) in federation and Punjab has yet again exposed the corrupt face of Sharif kingdom.

“PML-N not ready to tolerate the opposition in Punjab”, Bilawal said in a statement. He accused the PML-N of rigging the local body elections by saying that PPP had visible majority in Rahim Yar Khan but it was converted into a losing position.

Bilawal complained, “The process of local body elections was made a meaningless activity”. He warned the ruling party by telling that PPP workers in Punjab will overthrow the government of Nawaz Sharif.

"Rulers want to sabotage not only Punjab but the whole country”, Chairman PPP suggested. He further complained that state machinery was employed illegally to affect the end results in Punjab local government elections.
