PM Nawaz directs to relax long power outages across country
Power outages are to be reduced to three hours in every 24 hours in urban areas
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities on Saturday to reduce long durations of power outages by at least 50 percent across the country within 24 hours.
The Prime Minister has announced the development today while instructing Secretary of Water and Power to act upon the directives within 24 hours.
Reportedly, power outages are to be reduced to three hours in every 24 hours in urban areas while four hours in rural areas.
It should be mentioned here that the premier has claimed numerous times to end electricity outages by 2018. Construction of different power projects is underway, as the government reports which would help curb energy crisis.
