Islamabad (Dunya News) - Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, Pervaiz Rashid severely criticized PPP leadership while talking to media, reported Dunya News.
The Information Minister questioned PPP performance and inquired that what Pakistan Peoples Party had done in Sindh so far.
Pervaiz Rashid also revealed that the prices of cotton and rice had fallen in the international market and that the agricultural sector was now governed by the respective provincial governments.
Minister of Information criticized the opponents by saying that those who stood second and third had reached Lahore. He also questioned that why rice and cotton were not available in Sindh at compensatory prices and put the ball in Khursheed Shah’s court by asking him to comment over this at the Farmers’ Protest.
‘Nobody cared about the rights of farmers prior to 2013. The prime minister gave 5000 per acre to farmers who were producing rice and cotton and every farmer received the money without any objection,” said Pervaiz Rashid.
Minister for Information also revealed that the recent price of urea fertilizers was Rs.1400 per bag as compared to 2013 when it used to be Rs.2050 per bag.
