Govt, Opposition leaders pray for PM's health
Animal sacrifices were made in various parts of the country for the quick recovery of PM Nawaz Shari
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif underwent a successful open-heart surgery on Tuesday at the Harley Street Clinic in London. People belonging to different faiths and various walks of life, in and outside the country, prayed for the success of the operation and for the PM s quick recovery, reported Dunya News.
Various governmental officials and Opposition members also prayed for the PM’s health. President Mamnoon Hussain himself led the prayer for the Prime Minister’s quick recovery. Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid also prayed for the PM’s quick return back to the country.
Special prayer for the Prime Minister s health were offered at the mosque inside the Parliament House. Jamaat Islami (JI) ameer Sirajul Haq contacted PM’s son Hussain Nawaz through a telephone call and inquired about his health. Malala Yousafzai contacted Hassan Nawaz and conveyed her best wishes regarding the PM’s quick recovery.
Father of Captain Asfandyar, who was martyred during the attack on the Peshawar Airbase, also wished the Prime Minister sound health. Animal sacrifices were also made in various parts of the country. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Abid Sher Ali prayed for the PM’s quick recovery in Faisalabad. Various leaders of the party collectively offered the sacrifice of a bull as charity.
Opposition Leader Syed Khurshid Shah along with other leaders of various parties prayed for the quick recovery and return of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif back in the country.
