Opposition's TORs can be used for politicking, not justice: Pervaiz Rashid
All the blame is solely being laid only on the PM, says Pervaiz Rashid.
KARACHI (Dunya New) – Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid Wednesday stated that the Terms of References (TORs) being offered by the Opposition in relation to the Panama Leaks investigation can only be used for politicking but not for justice.
Talking to Dunya News during the program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, Rashid stated that all the blame was being laid only on Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.
Rashid strongly criticised Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan and accused him being biased. The Federal Information Minister stated that the government’s TORs contains a section calling for action against those evading taxes, adding that the Metro Bus project could also be included in this if the Opposition desires it.
Rashid further stated that Aitzaz Ahsan in his tweet had used the word of ‘Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) goons’. He added that such an accusation was not even hurled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
Rashid further added that there was no attempt to save anybody in government’s TORs while an attempt was made to save certain people from accountability in Opposition’s TORs.
The Information Minister stated that government’s TORs also mentions about tax waivers as well.
Rashid slammed Aitzaz Ahsan saying that the PPP leader’s wife had received 5000 votes for which he is still seeking revenge. Rashid added that this was the reason why Ahsan had also laid the blame of misbehaving with women on PML-N.
