Won't let federation 'occupy' Sindh: Qaim Ali Shah

Dunya News

He said peace has been restored in Sindh and that the focus should now be in other provinces

GARHI KHUDA BAKHSH (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday lashed out on federation over the issue of Rangers’ special powers, saying that they won’t let federation ‘occupy’ Sindh, Dunya News reported.

Addressing the party workers and supporters, Shah said his ‘love’ has been taken advantage of before but won’t let that continue. He said it’s not up to one person to set aside decision of Sindh Assembly.

The CM Sindh said no one can dare looking at Sindh with bad intention, adding that they will pop out the eye of such a person with arrow.

Directing criticism at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said “stop your Ch Nisar, his orders are of no use”. He said one man has no right to set aside the resolution of Sindh Assembly.

Shah said PM Nawaz and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif cooperated with Sindh government and complained that his ‘love’ is being taken advantage of.

He said the institutions must work as per constitution, adding that peace has been restored in Sindh and that the focus should now be in other provinces.

Meanwhile, former Interior Minister Rehman Malik claimed that Benazir Bhutto never signed the infamous National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Senior PPP leader and Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said Dr Asim is not a terrorist, adding that there would be no support for him in the party if proven guilty.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said this isn’t the National Action Plan (NAP) for which all parties signed up, claiming that what’s in practice is Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Action Plan.

Addressing on the occasion of his mother’s 8th death anniversary, Bilawal said the way of the martyrs is not easy, adding that the way of Bhutto is to embrace martyrdom.

He said slain former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto gave her life but did not surrender before terrorists. “The democracy in Pakistan is result of my mother’s blood”, he said.

The PPP chairman said they fully support the NAP but there’s a propaganda going against them that PPP doesn’t want elimination of terrorists. He said this isn’t the same NAP for which all political parties and military leadership agreed upon.

“Our army men are embracing martyrdom on one hand while the people of Waziristan are displaced”, he said. “Mian sahib, tell us which major terrorist or terror facilitator has been arrested till date”.
