Bilawal addressed to the central event to mark 8th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto

GARHI KHUDA BAKHSH (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said this isn’t the National Action Plan (NAP) for which all parties signed up, claiming that what’s in practice is Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Action Plan.

Addressing on the occasion of his mother’s 8th death anniversary, Bilawal said the way of the martyrs is not easy, adding that the way of Bhutto is to embrace martyrdom.

He said slain former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto gave her life but did not surrender before terrorists. “The democracy in Pakistan is result of my mother’s blood”, he said.

The PPP chairman said they fully support the NAP but there’s a propaganda going against them that PPP doesn’t want elimination of terrorists. He said this isn’t the same NAP for which all political parties and military leadership agreed upon.

“Our army men are embracing martyrdom on one hand while the people of Waziristan are displaced”, he said. “Mian sahib, tell us which major terrorist or terror facilitator has been arrested till date”.

“What is NAP for you other than taking revenge?” he asked. Bilawal said the people are asking when the crackdown against provinces in guise of NAP will be stopped.

He demanded NAP be handed over to the Parliament’s security committee, adding that they will go to the people’s court if they are not heard “and then there will be Dam Mast Qalander”.Bilawal said PPP’s ‘target killing’ began with the ‘judicial murder’ of party’s founder and Pakistan’s former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, adding that it continues even today. He said Nusrat Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto were also subjected to party’s target killing.

He said ‘target killing’ against PPP continued over the matter of empowering provinces as per 18th Amendment, adding that the party faced ‘target killing’ in 2013 elections through Taliban and Returning Officers (ROs).

“But all these efforts failed and despite every attack PPP emerged even stronger”, he said.

Fully criticising privatisation of national institutions, Bilawal said PM Nawaz must tell why biddings of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) are and Pakistan Steel Mills are taking place.

“Does anyone sell mother’s jewellery to make ends meet?” he asked. “I and PPP cannot remain silent on people’s economic murder”.

He said people of Pakistan weren’t given benefits despite reduction in oil prices on a global level.
