Reham complained no one defended her when allegations were leveled against her
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan on Sunday said that their marriage was without a relationship of trust and confidence, Dunya News reported.
She said Khan was not prepared for changes after the marriage, adding that the allegations of taking money and jewellery, violence and trying to poison him are false.
Reham complained no one defended her on these allegations.
In an interview to a British paper, she told their wedding was neither registered in the United Kingdom (UK) nor Pakistan, adding that she could not get any rights in ten months.
She said Imran Khan was never prepared to lead a married life and that perhaps it is impossible for both to change at this stage of life.
PTI chief’s ex said Khan who was used to living alone for years was never prepared to lead a married life. She said Khan was uncommunicative and unromantic and only talked on politics.
Reham complained that Imran Khan didn’t even gift her bangles on the wedding. She said one prominent party leader said it openly that she was brought to make rotis.
The former media personality said Khan used to live on one bread or mostly cereal a day when she first came to Bani Gala but she made sure that he ate cooked food every day.
She also denied that her children had occupied the whole house, adding that they stayed at one room only.
Reham complained no one from Khan’s camp defended her when she was being accused of taking jewellery, money, violence and trying to poison Imran Khan.
She said she was told to remain silent when her ex husband leveled allegations against her. Reham said party leaders thought she was trying to take over the party when made street children ambassador. She said she never even participated in the party meetings.
Reham Khan said relationship with Imran Khan had worsened last month. She said they decided it was enough when they had a fight and PTI chief later divorced her on text message.
