PM has consciously mentioned development projects during his address, alleges Naeem-ul-Haq.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Information Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Naeem-ul-Haq on Saturday has written a letter to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) demanding to take notice of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif speech as it can impress voters in NA-122 by-polls.

The leader of opposition party Naeem-ul-Haq raged over the recent address of PM just after the end of turbulent NA-122 by-election campaign. Talking exclusively to media, he said that the premier has consciously mentioned the ongoing and upcoming development projects in the fields of transport, education, health and agriculture.

Enraged PTI leader alleged Nawaz Sharif of affecting voters in NA-122 polls and urged the ECP to take stern notice of PM’s statements.

He further asked the authorities that why they are not monitoring the situation after ending election campaign as the silent promotion of party’s mandate can affect voting behaviors.

The campaigning for NA-122 by-poll ended on October 9 midnight at 12am. The ruling party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rallied on the last day of campaigning. National Assembly (NA) former speaker Ayaz Sadiq will contest against PTI’s Aleem Khan after the election tribunal called for re-election in the constituency.

According to the latest reports, polling material for NA-144 has been sent to Okara under army’s supervision. The army officials have distributed ballots boxes, ballots and other material to the polling staff in district council’s election cell.
