ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has on Thursday said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) suspended the Prime Minister Kisan Package under the pressure of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan. Government appealed against suspension of the package. Rashid said that ECP has been kept at gunpoint by Imran Khan, reported Dunya News.
Holding a press conference in Islamabad, Pervaiz Rashid said that the government will use legal right for the betterment of the farmers. He said that the Kisan Package should not be stapled with the local body elections and the relief provided to the masses should not be suspended.
“How long will ECP keep striking down public welfare projects? Imran Khan did three Kisan Conventions and MNAs and Senate members also demanded relief for the farmers but when the farmers will be provided with the relief, PTI started opposing it”, said Rashid.
