4 workers die as factory roof collapses
Police has taken 4 persons including manager and owner of the family into custody.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – 4 garment factory workers died as a result of a roof collapse while 12 others were injured on Friday. Police has taken owner and manager of the factory into custody, reported Dunya News.
Roof of a factory in Gajju Matta collapsed and trapped more than 20 workers under it. The workers were taking a lunch break when the roof collapsed.
Upon hearing the news, rescue teams reached on spot and started rescue efforts. When the workers were finally pulled out of the rubble, 4 workers had expired including Muhammad Boota, Muhammad Ali, Tariq and Shehzad while 12 others had sustained serious injuries.
Police has taken 4 persons including manager and owner of the family into custody. CM Punjab has summoned a report of the incident.
