Pervaiz Rashid hopes PTI won't repeat mistake of staging sit-in protest
'Appropriate reaction' is being expressed over Indian aggression, he said
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Friday hoped Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won’t repeat the mistake of staging sit-in protest, Dunya News reported.
He said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will go to the people instead of courts after verdicts by the Election Tribunals.
The federal minister said Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed will have his deposit confiscated if he contests again and even the private jet of PTI candidate from NA 154 Jehangir Tareen will be sold in the by-election.
Talking to the media, he said it is right of the Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah to voice concerns.
He said PTI is expressing lack of confidence on Election Commission today whereas it is the same election commission under which it carried out local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and contested by-elections.
The federal minister hoped PTI won’t repeat the mistake of staging the sit-in protest again because, he said, PTI hasn’t even cleared its previous bills.
Answering a question, he said Scotland Yard has been given access to some of the arrested suspects.
He said the government has grave concerns on Indian aggression along the Working Boundaries and the Line of Control (LoC), adding that ‘appropriate reaction’ is being expressed over it.
