Indian forces violated LoC ceasefire for the second time during last 24 hours.

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – At least four Pakistani civilians were killed and 4 others injured when Indian forces opened unprovoked firing at Charwah Sector in Sialkot on Monday morning. Those killed include two children, an elderly woman and a man.

The deceased were identified as 60-year-old Saleema Bibi, 5-year-old Hamad and 55-year old Abdul Razaq while the injured have been identified as Kabir, Aqeel, Eman and M. Ishaq.

Panic and fear gripped the area when Indian forces fired mortar shells and used machine guns to target Pakistani posts. Resultantly, several residents of Tulsipur and Dhamal areas also missed their Eid prayers.

Meanwhile, Chenab Rangers effectively retaliated and gave a befitting reply to Indian firing.

Earlier on Sunday morning, Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in Jandroot Sector near Kotli on the Line of Control.

Chenab Rangers have demanded a flag meeting with the Indian forces in the wake of recent LoC ceasefire violations.

India and Pakistan often accuse each other of violating a border ceasefire which has largely held since 2003.

Despite the truce, firing along the disputed de facto border called the Line of Control that separates Kashmir into Indian and Pakistani sectors, has occurred sporadically.
