Jehangir Tareen said that judiciary should take notice of workers arrest

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Secretary General Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Jehangir Tareen has said that talks with the government have been suspended due to state terrorism. He said that Inspector General (IG) Police Islamabad should realize that Nawaz Sharif’s government is not going to stay forever. He requested the judiciary to take notice of workers’ arrest.

Holding press conference in Islamabad today (Saturday) along with other PTI leaders including Arif Alvi, Shafqat Mehmood, Asad Umar and Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Jehangir Tareen said that PTI’s movement has spread throughout the country now. He said that no matter how much force is used, PTI will not back off. “We want to get the judiciary freed too”, said Secretary General PTI. “Government is doing all this to cover up rigging”, he added.

Jehangir Tareen said that PTI will not retreat from its position unless Prime Minister Nawaz sharif resigns from his post and inquiry of the elections is done.

Responding to a question on this occasion, Shafqat Mehmood said that if the government will use force, PTI will also do the same.

Arif Alvi said that PTI leader Azam Khan Sawati is in jail at the moment. “PTI will protest outside the police station”, he told.
