No chances of moon to be sighted in Pakistan or Middle East on July 27

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – According to Met Office, Pakistan, there are strong chances of Shawaal Moon to be sighted on July 28, 2014 along the coastal line of Sindh and Baluchistan. The Met Office says that there are no chances of the moon to be sighted in Pakistan or Middle East on 27th of July.

The Central Moon Sighting Committee (Royat-e-Hilal Committee) will hold its meeting on 28th of July. The sighting of moon on 28 of July in Karachi and other parts of Sindh and Baluchistan along the coast has a strong likelihood. It will be possible to see the moon with naked eye if the sky remains clear on the eve of July 28, according to Chief Meteorologist.

According to the Met Office, Eid Moon will be around 40 hours old on the eve of 28 July. The Met Office also believes that there is almost no likelihood of moon being sighted in Pakistan or the Middle East on July 27 as the age of the moon will not be enough for being sighted at that time.

Chief Meteorologist says that there is high probability of Eid being held on 29th of July, however, the final decision will be made by the Moon-Sighting Committee only.
