Imran Khan accuses Punjab police of demanding bribe from CM KP
PTI Chief said that the police could not believe that a Chief Minister can travel without protocol.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan accused Punjab police of demanding bribe from Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak and his ministers on Friday, Dunya News reported.
Imran Khan said in his accusation that Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak along with three fellow ministers was traveling from Lahore to Islamabad without protocol when Punjab police extorted them.
He said that CM Khattak and ministers identified themselves but the police officers refused to believe saying why would a Chief Minister travel without security protocol.
Khan said that over 40 thousand police officers are deployed on VIPs’ security in Punjab but no police officer does VIP duty in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PTI Chief reiterated that the police could not believe that a Chief Minister can travel without protocol.
