Pakistan-Afghanistan-Turkey summit begins

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is representing Pakistan at the summit in Turkey.

ANKARA (Web Desk) - The eighth Pakistan-Afghanistan-Turkey Trilateral Summit began in Ankara today (Wednesday).

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif‚ who is in Turkey‚ is representing Pakistan at the summit while President Hamid Karzai and President Abdullah Gul are representing their countries.

The Summit is aimed at furthering high level political dialogue‚ security cooperation and development partnership among the three countries for promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan.

The Prime Minister held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan and discussed bilateral relations and international issues.

Nawaqz Sharif Minister will have separate meetings with the Turkish leadership to review wide spectrum of bilateral relations with focus on economic cooperation.

In Istanbul‚ he will also have interaction with the heads of major Turkish companies.
