Ayub Khawar, Tahir Sarwar Mir and renowned comedians team up to produce a quality comedy show.

LAHORE (Sabahat Hussain) – Dunya News Monday launched its eagerly awaited new comedy show Mazak Rat.

Initially the show will be broadcast on every Monday and Tuesday at 11.03 pm but number of programs per week will be increased after some time.

Celebrities like Rana Sanaullah, Sheikh Rashid, Ghulam Mustafa Khar, and cricketer Wahab Riaz who attended the rehearsals and recordings of the program, appreciated the quality of the show and exchanged witty dialogues with the actors. The guests predicted that Mazak Rat is going to introduce a trend in the comedy shows.

The team of Mazak Rat has been working day and night for the last two months for producing a quality product.

Mazak Rat, besides providing entertainment and useful information to the audience, also aims at promoting positive human values and creating social awareness.

The show would follow the principal of “teaching through delight”.

Project Director of Mazak Rat Ayub Khawar and Executive Producer Tahir Sarwar Mir said they had undertaken a thorough research of the old comedians who started their careers from Radio Pakistan so that a blend of old and new trends could be produced.

“Mazak Rat will provide a link between the old and new generation”, Tahir Mir said.

He said the show besides affording entertainment would provided useful information to the viewers and would help boost social awareness.

Mazak Rat will target viewers from all strata of society and age groups.

It has been taken special care that the show provides sober entertainment.

It has also been ensured that the contents of the script cause no offence to any person or section of society.

The team of comedians in Mazak Rat includes Amanullah Khan, Iftekhar Thakar, Sahawat Naz, Mujahid Abbas and Mohsin Abbas.

Veteran comedian Amanullah said he had found a platform where his comic genius would have its full expression.

Mohsin Abbas, a young artist who earned fame for his role as Baghat Sing, is playing the role of DG in Mazak Rat.

Mohsin said his role in Mazak rat was a totally new in the Pakistani world of showbiz.
The show will be hosted by famous TV actor Nouman Ejaz, who said hosting a comedy show was a new experience for him but he was enjoying it a lot.

“Mazak Rat has brought to light a new unexplored potential in me,” he said.

Those who have been watching the rehearsals and recordings of the show are sure that Mazak Rat will introduce a trend in comedy shows.

The artists taking part in rehearsals particularly mentioned the friendly working environment at the studios of Dunya News.
