In an exclusive talk with Dunya News, Akmal said that he has been playing for the national side for the past eight years and he completely comprehends the difference between being verbally abused or being criticised for poor performance.

The cricketer was served a show-cause notice by the cricket authority after his press conference earlier this week. Talking about the notice, he warned that he would state the impolite words used by the head coach in his reply.

He rhetorically asked the cricket board to explain why was he selected for Champions Trophy 2017 squad if he had failed the fitness tests seven times as claimed.

Statement of the cricketer has come in a couple of days after he held a press conference in Model Town park and leveled allegations against the head coach of verbally abusing him and asking him to leave National Cricket Academy (NCA).

However, Arthur denied resorting to cuss words but admitted that he had criticised the player for his poor discipline.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stood by the head coach and served a show-cause notice to the cricketer.
