France: Hundreds rally against nuclear power plants

Hundreds of people in France demonstrated against countrys decency on nuclear energy.

Following radioactive leak in the Japanese nuclear power plant, hundreds of people in France rallied against the country’s policy to depend on Nuclear energy. They called on the government to abandon the nuclear power plants and look at alternative sources for electricity. The government though refused to accept the demands of the demonstrators. Like the Japanese nuclear reactors, France has set up 58 nuclear reactors in 19 different locations throughout the country. France is the largest nuclear power generating country in the European Union and second largest in the world after America.
