44 martyred in Occupied Kashmir in September alone
Indian troops molested at least 284 women and ransacked and damaged 782 houses.
SRINAGAR (Dunya News) - Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 44 Kashmiris including 12 teenagers and a woman during the last month of September.
According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service today (Saturday), 11 of those martyred were killed in a fake encounter. These killings rendered 2 women widowed and 5 children orphaned.
During the month, 5,524 people were critically injured due to the firing of pallets, bullets and teargas shells by Indian police and paramilitary personnel on peaceful demonstrators in the occupied territory while 1,035 civilians, mostly youth and Hurriyet activists, were arrested and hundreds of them were booked under black law Public Safety Act.
The Indian troops after barging into residential houses molested at least 284 women and ransacked and damaged 782 houses during the period.
Kashmir, a Muslim-majority state, has witnessed deadly protests since the killing of freedom fighter Burhan Wani in a joint army and police operation on July 8.
Since then, Indian police and troops have killed 107 civilians, injured more than 14,000 and blinded hundreds other by firing bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful demonstrations.
