Berko is being mocked on the internet for her ignorance

(Web Desk) – An Israeli lawmaker belonging to the center-right political party Lukid is being mocked for making a vile remark that Palestinian nation doesn’t exist because there’s Arabic language doesn’t have the letter ‘P’ in it.

Anat Berko, the lawmaker, said on Wednesday that “I want to go back to history, what is our place here, about Jerusalem, about Palestine, when like we said, Arabic doesn t even have  P,  so this loan-word also merits scrutiny."

Berko is being mocked on the internet for her ignorance that Palestine in Arabic begins with a consonant “F”, same as in Hebrew and is pronounced “Falastin”.

Another lawmaker Tamar Zandberg called out by saying "What? Did everyone hear this? Are you an idiot?” to which Berko responded: "These are the facts. I ll send it to you, everything s alright."

The State of Palestine, although recognised as an independent state by many countries, has been living under Israeli occupation since 1948.
