NEW YORK (Dunya News) – Protests continued against US presidential candidate Donald Trump. The protest included people from diverse racial and regional backgrounds. The multi-racial and multi-cultural demonstration was held outside one of Trump’s powerhouses, the Trump Tower.

Protesters chanted slogans in favour of immigrants and against the billionaire who is hoping to become a presidential candidate. Protestors shouted that an individual harbouring racist or religious intolerant views was not worthy of being a president.

The activists chanted that New York city welcomes people from all religious and racial backgrounds and even demanded that racist individuals should be barred from this city.

The billionaire real estate businessman and leading Republican candidate for the presidential nomination, Trump was lambasted all over the world and was savaged by critics who showed a scathing response to his remarks. Trump had earlier called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country s representatives can figure out what is going on."

Trump has made enemies all around the world including his own countrymen for his racial slurs against Muslims, Mexicans and people of different races.

US President Barack Obama and the White House slammed and condemned such comments, calling them "totally contrary" to American values.

Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential frontrunner, tweeted: "Declaring war on Islam or demonizing Muslim Americans is not only counter to our values, it plays right into the hands of terrorists."

Trump adamant on his intolerant stance and has refused to apologize on the matter.
