India: Khera Village lacks basic facilities, resident's letter to Modi
Residents warned the government that they will stage a protest in case of continuous negligence.
MUKTSAR (Web Desk) – inhabitants of Warring Khera village in Muktsar district on Monday has written a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and requested him to adapt their village as there is no facility in town.
Residents of the village has urged him to ask Bathinda MP and Union food processing minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal to continue adapting Khera as she had chosen it earlier under Sansad Adrash Gram Yojna scheme but later omitted it and decided to go with Mann village.
Residents claimed that their village is backward and even lacking basic facilities. The transport system in the village is good for nothing, there is no government high school and sewerage system is in bad condition.
They demanded that same facilities should be provided to them just like Man Village otherwise they will lead a protest against government. Sources quoted that SAD leaders have urged them to carry out protest.
