(Web Desk) – Study done by a US data scientist claimed that the more people spend money on their weddings, the more the relationships are likely to break.

Randy Olson concluded his study in 2014 and was published in a research journal which was tweeted by a tech firm on Wednesday.

The research claims that the couples who spent over $20,000 on their weddings were 46 percent more likely to get divorced while those who spent $1,000 or lesser were 56 percent less likely.

The research also studied the correlation between divorce and the number of guests who attend the wedding.

According to Olson, the study concluded that people who had invited 200 or more people at their wedding were 92 percent less likely to get divorced whereas those couples who had one to ten guests at their weddings were 35 percent less likely.
