Mobile phone explodes on Indian man's face during call
He sustained injuries to nearly half of his face and chest
(Web Desk) -- An Indian man was seriously injured as his mobile phone exploded after he attempted to make a call from his mobile on Wednesday.
The man named Bhavesh Thummer is a diamond polisher by profession who sustained heavy injuries to nearly half of his face and chest as the phone exploded.
As evident from the above picture, Bhavesh Thummer’s left eye and left ear were burnt as a result of the mobile explosion.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital in Surat, Gujrat as he required immediate medical attention.
Bhavesh Thummer reported feeling searing heat as he tried to make a quick phone call on his mobile phone. Dropping the mobile phone as the heat got out of hand, the mobile fell on his desk and set it on fire on impact.
A close call for Mr Thummer as safety and health experts have launched an inquiry into the matter to prevent it from happening in the future. The picture below shows soot visible on the battery of the mobile.
Mr. Thummer’s life has been reported to not be in danger.
