England declared their first innings on 474/8 on the second day of the Lords Test against India.

The most prestigious cricket ground, Lords, is hosting the 2,000th Test match between England and India.England resumed its first innings 127/2 on the second day and the Kevin Peterson scored his third Test double century, guiding his team to a formidable total. He had century stands with Matt Prior Jonathon Trott and Ian Bell. England declared their innings on 474/8 when Peterson completed his double century. He came not out on 202.Perven Kumar took five wickets for the visitors.Indian openers survived a brief period before stumps and shared a 17 runs stand.
