World Cup 2011: Chandigarh Police take no chances with security

Indian authorities have made really tight security arrangements for Pakistani team in Mohali.

Pakistani is in Mohali for playing the second semi final of the World Cup against India. According to the police, some 1,000 policemen were deployed in and around the team hotel.The policemen in the hotel have been issued special passes to ensure that no unauthorised person is able to breach the security net. The players were also asked not to leave the hotel unless they had informed the security officials four hours in advance.Two special contingents of police and rangers were formed, which would guard the team during practice sessions.
