PM Nawaz approves grant of Rs 30 million for boxer Muhammad Waseem
Muhammad Waseem had expressed the resolve to continue the winning streak in future.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday has approved grant of Rs 30 million for World Silver Flyweight Champion Muhammad Waseem.
According to Pakistan Sports Boards, the money would be utilized in trainings and tours of the boxer. The federal government has also assured to support the player with every possible facility.
Earlier, Muhammad Waseem had expressed the resolve to continue the winning streak in future.
“I’m eying more wins in the future. If I’m given proper support I can bring more laurels for the country,”
The 29-year old, who returned home on late Tuesday after defeating Philippine’s Giemel Magramo in Sunday’s fight at Seoul, South Korea said that he was proud at the achievement.
