LAHORE (Dunya News) – Today is the hottest day of April in Lahore, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The highest recorded temperature was 43 to 45 degrees Celsius which is not usual in the spring month.
The residents of Punjab’s provincial capital face tremendous difficulty in getting out of their homes due to severe hot weather. The sun rose with full potential as the climate became hot and humid afterwards.
The situation became worse when unannounced load shedding by Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) drenched the people with sweat in their homes and workplaces.
According to the Met Office, similar trends of hot weather will continue during the next few days in Lahore and other cities in Punjab.
