Quetta terror bid foiled, explosives recovered from car

Quetta police have recovered explosives from a car parked in front of Excise office on Saryab Road.

Police were informed of a suspicious car parked in front of the Excise and Taxation Office. When the bomb disposal squad reached the area, a small explosion was heard, which was probably the detonator going off.The area was sealed off for the general public. During the search of the vehicle, explosive material including two rockers were found hidden in the car (a white Mehran bearing a Sindh number plate).Police said major devastation has been averted by timely information and action.
