COAS strongly condemned NATO attack in Mohmand Agency resulting in loss of 24 security officials.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani strongly condemned NATO’s helicopters and fighter aircraft’s unprovoked firing on two Pakistan Army border posts in Mohmand Agency resulting in loss of 24 security forces officials.He said that the NATO/ISAF’s blatant and unacceptable aggression resulted in loss of precious lives of Pakistani soldiers, said an ISPR press release isuued on Saturday. While lauding the effective response by the soldiers of Pakistan Army in self-defence, he directed that all necessary steps are being taken for an effective response to this irresponsible act. The release said that on the night of November 25 and 26 NATO helicopters and fighter aircraft carried out unprovoked firing on two Pakistan Army border posts in Mohmand Agency.As a result of the aggression, 24 troops embraced Shahadat and 13 were injured. Pakistani troops effectively responded immediately in self defence to NATO/ISAF’s aggression with all available weapons.It said a strong protest has been launched with NATO/ISAF in which it has been demanded that strong and urgent action be taken against those responsible for this aggression, concluded the press release.
