Ayesha Ahad swears on Quran, appeals for justice

Ayesha Ahad Malik, who claims to be wife of Hamza Sharif, has appealed for justice.

Addressing a news conference at the National Press Club, Islamabad, on Thursday, she blamed that the influential businessmen and former Chief Justice Lahore High Court Khawaja Sharif and former IG Rana Maqbool are threatening to kill or kidnap her.She said, “I am the daughter of the nation and I am being accused because I am wife of Hamza Shahbaz Sharif.” She added, “Is this the reason that a case was filed against me in Racecourse Police Station, Lahore; police grabbed my sister and mother by hair and cussed them.”She said journalists were trying to bring her before media for more than a month but circumstances were not letting her do so.Ayesha Malik is the daughter of ex-PML-Q leader and film producer Ahad Malik, who was a former MPA of PML-N.Ayesha Ahad Malik is also known as Ayesha Iqbal. She wept while holding the Holy Quran in her hand before the media men. She said that she and her family were trapped in the fake cases but still ‘I feel ashamed before the media.’She expressed, “Uncle Nawaz and Aunty Kalsoom are consoling me,” whereas Ali Imran, owner of Yousaf Ali Trade Centre, former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Khwaja Sharif and Rana Maqbool are passing on life threats. She said she received threatening messages from unknown numbers before news conference, threatening “Don’t arrange news conference, otherwise, you would be killed.”
